Bristol and beyond
Territo Tailoring is Bristol’s oldest and truest bespoke tailoring workshop. We have been tailoring garments for individuals, professionals and bride grooms for over 50 years. We have a flexible house cut that caters for all tastes, and a soft Italian style suiting or a more constructed traditional English cut. If you are looking for a suit for your wedding, something to wear to work, or perhaps just want something individual and just for you. We have the experience, knowledge of style and choice to find what you’re looking for.

Our Tailors
Gioacchino (Jack) Territo started the business in 1967 with his brother, the first Italian tailors to start their own business in the Bristol. Their first shop was on Union street Bristol, quickly building a strong clientele amongst the cities professionals and the 60’s dandies of the day. Territo Tailoring stayed there until 1980 when Jack decided to move to Park Street Bristol which has been our home ever since. Now joined by his son Michele they work together as a tailoring team, with both years of experience as well as an eye on current trends and tailoring innovation.
Jack
Gioacchino was born in Sicily in a town called Ribera, when he was 6 years old he was sent to watch his uncle working to keep him and his brother from getting into trouble. By the age of 18 Jack had learnt his trade by working for two different master tailors in his village. Moving away from Sicily to find more work, he spent a brief time in Germany before following two of his brothers to Bristol where they set up their own tailors. He has become well known locally after many years of dedicated service to the local community, many of his clients have been returning regularly for the last 5 decades. With nearly 70 years of tailoring experience to his name he has seen it all, and he still loves his work as much as he always has!
Jack likes a coat with no vents and patch pockets and a flat fronted trouser, his favourite colour is brown and fabric of choice is a tonic mohair.
Mike
Michele (Mike) Joined his Father 10 years ago to learn the trade, growing up in and around the workshop, and having spent a number of years as a musician, he made the decision to join his father full time. Since then having started his training in coat making, he has since moved on to train as a cutter and coat finisher (although he is still trying to master those pesky Milanese button holes!) Mike deals with most of the front of house, dealing with the customers too, helping you choose the fabric and style that is right for you.
Mike likes a coat with side vents, straight jetted pockets with flaps, and a flat fronted trouser. Fabric wise, he loves making things from one of the many vintage bolts in house, as well as a penchant for flannel.
